When talking about time, how do you know which preposition to use?

We use:

AT for an EXACT TIME

ON for DAYS & DATES

IN for MONTHS & LONGER (YEARS, CENTURIES, etc.)

Notice: The main exception to this rule is that we use the phrase “at night” but we say “in the morning”, “in the afternoon”, and “in the evening”.
